The texture is created with lace or hessian, and we can also make a hammered version (see last picture, which was hammered with a matte finish).

We can also customise this headband for you if you want something slightly different.  For example:

• we can add a silver tube so you can slide in your own accessory or brooch, to make a tiara (see 6th, 7th, 8th pictures; here the headband had a polished and plain, not textured finish).
• or we can make the band with different dimensions or shapes. We have recently made a longer tiara with loops on the end to tie with ribbon (see 9th and 10th pictures; this was highly polished and shiny too, not textured, and measured 43cm long).

The ‘normal’ Silver Headband is circular (as seen in the first 4 photos) and measures approximately 3.2mm/0.13″ wide and is 1.3mm deep – it is strong but flexible.

It extends over the ears and beyond to ensure a comfortable fit, with an approximate diameter of 11-12cm/4.5″. If you require a different dimension please let me know when ordering.

I usually bend the circle ends slightly inwards to ensure there is better grip on your hair.  However in the last but one picture you can see a headband with more pronounced ‘ends’ and which was also made with a slightly hammered and matt satin/brushed finish (for the same price as a ‘normal’ headband).

The normal handmade silver head band weighs approximately 20gm/0.70 ounces in total (without the tube or loops).
